I never thought I would have to make this announcement on my radio show in my 22 years. What I am about to tell you is the most shocking news of my entire career. I knew the Democrats had descended to the level of Joseph Stalin’s Russia. I just got an email from Jerome Corsi, one of the greatest investigative reporters around. Over the weekend I read on the Drudge Report that Alex Jones and others were being watched were being watched by our rotting, stinking government under Obama. They were spying on Jones. And naturally, of course, I said: I wonder if they are spying on me? I sent it to Jerome Corsi this morning and I’m slightly nauseated to tell you that I just got an email three minutes ago. It said, “Is this one of Michael’s addresses that is in their database TWICE?” Two different hits. So they were spying on me under that great piece of garbage. That rat Obama was spying on me. The man who was not impeached, the man that was above reproach. The man who was above reproach, the hero of the left, the hero of ‘Shifty Shift’, the hero of ‘Muddy Waters’. Apparently, they were spying on me. God knows who else we’re going to find. Nor do I know what my recourse is may be. But I will have the ace attorney Dan Horowitz on maybe tomorrow. This is much bigger than being thrown to the ground by a bully. This is the bully of a government, bigger than all of us illegally spying on a beloved talk show host. My name appears twice in the database according to Jerry Corsi. We’re trying to get Corsi on the show right now, because this is very, very big. It’s so big I don’t know how to deal with it to be honest with you. Shall I ask you, the audience, are you shocked by what I just told you? Does it mean anything to you that a talk show host, who you may disagree with, was being spied on by your government? Does it bother you at all that that sneak of sneaks, the most evil man in American political history Barry Obama sicked his spy agencies on a member of the American media? Will that break the blockade at Fox News? I doubt it. Will anyone in the media on the left that Michael Savage, who they may detest politically, was illegally wiretapped somewhere over the last few years? I’m going to find out what year this was.
SAVAGE: We got Jerry on the phone. I can’t believe this. Jerome Corsi, welcome to the Savage Nation.
CORSI: Michael, great to be back with you. Thank you very much.
SAVAGE: Jerry, I’m a little freaked out right now, because your email caught me off guard. I’m a naturally suspicious, skeptical person. So when I was reading that they were spying on Alex Jones and others and I knew you were one of the journalists who uncovered this…I just asked you. So you asked me for some of my addresses and you said, “Is this one of your addresses that is in the database twice, two different hits?” Jerry, could you tell us more about this mind bending story?
CORSI: Well, the database was part of Operation Dragnet and it’s got billions of entries in it. We found Donald Trump’s entries in it forty-fifty times, including his family, his wife, his business, employees. They were all over Donald Trump in the year starting in 2004 when the database starts. In the years in which you were in California, there were at least two solid hits that we know are yours because of the address identification. I emailed you address. I had no idea what your addresses were. I’m sure we could go ahead and tell you the telephone number it was in the database…
SAVAGE: What year(s) was this done to me?
CORSI: I’d have to go back and look at the exact time, but it was early on. It was in the period more around 2004, 2005.
SAVAGE: Oh really, so it was during the old Bush years?
SAVAGE: I’m sorry, Mr. Obama, it wasn’t you. It was George Bush. And what agency would it be that was spying on me?
CORSI: Anyone who was prominent at that point the NSA was going after. And it was not necessarily at the direction of George W. Bush. They were doing it on their own initiative.
SAVAGE: But as a domestic agency they are not allowed to spy on Americans without a judge’s order from the FISA court. Isn’t that true?
CORSI: Well, that’s the way it is supposed to be. But these millions of entries, it’s impossible for me to believe they went to get FISA rulings on any of these. On most of the people that are identified on the list that we’ve talked to, they had no idea they were under surveillance, but were politically involved. They were of interest to the NSA trying to track political figures, politically important and influential people.
SAVAGE: I’m glad to hear that the scum in the NSA thought I was so important, but they violated my rights as an American citizen. I’d like to ask you, Jerome, what are the other people who have been violated by this government going to do as a matter of recourse? I was listening to the hearings today. And the former head of the NSA, this admiral was so careful to say that we absolutely have no authority to spy on Americans. None whatsoever, is that allegedly true?
CORSI: Yes, but see. If you watched the hearing very carefully today, and I’m sure you did. They were all parsing their answers. Comey said, ‘I have no evidence that President Obama authorized a wiretap of Donald Trump.’ First of all, the law doesn’t permit President Obama to authorize any wiretaps or surveillance. Secondly, it’s absurd to think. With Watergate as a defense, President Nixon didn’t sit down and write an executive order and tell E. Howard Hunt and G. Gordon Liddy please go over to Watergate and break in and bug it and steal some information. Then come back to my office and report it to me. That would be absurd to think that’s how it’s done. Now, if Comey had been asked: Is it true that there was electronic surveillance, in any fashion, of Donald Trump during these years? Comey would have had to say ‘yes’. But that question wasn’t asked.
SAVAGE: But if they were surveilling Donald Trump and his entire family, that’s big news. Obviously, because they’ve been denying they were doing it. But here I am simply a talk show host. A fairly popular one, yes, not the biggest by any means, writer of books, ordinary American citizen in some ways: I’ve been violated by my own government during the Bush years. I think this is a huge story, Jerry. I mean this is a monster story.
CORSI: Well, it is. That’s why I think Drudge still has it posted on the website. And also, Michael, there’s no reason to believe they ever stopped. We don’t have any information in this database that they stopped; we have information that they started. That’s the problem.
SAVAGE: The Drudge Report says NSA Documents: Surveillance on Trump Family and More. Project Dragnet. But that’s been up for two days now. I think we need to update that story, Mr. Corsi. Now they’ve gone after a member of the media. Shouldn’t that excite some of the great liberal members of the media?
CORSI: Yes, Michael. If you take a look at Infowars right now. We just published a story this afternoon where there was electronic surveillance and DOJ tampering talking to the judges during Sheriff Arpaio’s trial. They had wiretapped even his cellphone, his home. They had electronic surveillance on all the computers and all the emails in Maricopa Sheriff’s office. The Department of Justice attorneys were talking directly to the judge. We have the phone numbers and dates when they were talking to the judge.
SAVAGE: Mr. Corsi, I’m reading that there’s a man named Zullo who gave this information to whom? It says: “The electronic surveillance database, provided to Zullo by a whistleblower in 2013, was apparently created by the NSA as part of the NSA’s illegal and unconstitutional Project Dragnet electronic surveillance of U.S. citizens, first revealed by news reports published in 2005, as further documented by the revelations of whistleblower Edward Snowden in 2013.”
Who is Zullo?
CORSI: Zullo is chief investigator – was- the Cold Case Posse (CCP) for Sheriff Arpaio. I’ve known him since 2011. He’s an extremely, careful, brilliant police investigator. He has brought this database forward. It has even been revealed in federal testimony. Mike Zullo has been trying for years to get the U.S. Government, Department of Justice, to take a serious look at this database which documents millions of Americans under electronic surveillance illegally and unconstitutionally.
SAVAGE: How many members of the American media were spied on by the CIA? I know that I was. I read that Alex Jones was. Who else was spied on of any name recognition, Mr. Corsi?
CORSI: Farah, Joseph Farah shows up on the database. He was spied on when he was out in Oregon starting WND. As I say, Michael, there’s no indication for Joseph Farah, for yourself, for Alex Jones, that this surveillance ever stopped. That’s the point.
SAVAGE: So I have to assume that every one of my emails, all my phone conversations are being monitored by some rotten, sneaking un-American sneak somewhere in hiding in this country?
CORSI: And they go after your bank accounts, your credit cards. There are also notations ‘F.I.’ for Financial Investigation. They go after your tax returns. They assemble a comprehensive file on you. And I’m confident that file remains intact.
SAVAGE: And what were they wanting to do with this spying on Michael Savage?
CORSI: Well, just to have it available. Just in case they decided that they were going to, in anyway, go after you. To blackmail you, just to create a profile.
SAVAGE: U.S. directs agents to cover up program used to investigate Americans. So what agency was spying on Michael Savage? The CIA the NSA, which one?
CORSI: The NSA. The NSA was spying on you.
SAVAGE: But this began in ‘04?
SAVAGE: ‘04. And who was president? Wasn’t it Mr. Bush?
CORSI: Yes, it was George W. Bush. It was beginning of his second term. It was the end of his first term and then he was inaugurated in ‘05.
SAVAGE: I would like to interrupt our dialogue for one moment to remind all of the liberals who are celebrating right now that I’m being spied on by your government, our government, a little statement by Cardinal Niemöller. When he said: “When they came for the Jews, I did not raise my voice because I was not a Jew. When they came for the Trade Unionists, I did not raise my voice because I was not Trade Unionist. When they came for the Gypsies, I did not raise my voice because I was not a Gypsy. And when they came for me, there was no one left to stand up to the Nazis and they put him in a concentration camp. I think that applies today. Wouldn’t you say, Mr. Corsi?
CORSI: Yes, I think it would. And this is an enormous, flagrant violation of your rights and everyone in that database, which are millions of Americans. And what we’re trying to do and what I’m trying to do is to get this brought to the highest level of the Trump administration.
SAVAGE: Can George Bush be tried for having permitted this to occur? Does he have the ultimate responsibility for permitting this rogue spying on innocent American citizens?
CORSI: Yes, it happened under George W. Bush’s watch. It happened under Barack Obama’s watch. I think President Trump needs to demand a complete and full investigation of the NSA and the CIA.
SAVAGE: Well, this is a bigger story than these Potemkin hearings we’ve been watching today. Based upon nothing, they want to impeach him based on their own paranoia. But this is real. We know that they spied on me and others. This is a real hearing. How do we get a real hearing? I’ll got to Washington. I’ll testify.
CORSI: We need to demand also from President Trump on Sheriff Arpaio. The DOJ was talking to the judge while he was on trial.
SAVAGE: We’re going to come back shortly. I have no questions for the audience at this time, but if you care to comment on what you just heard. Phenomenal breaking news that this talk show host, Michael Savage, an innocent broadcaster, only guilty of speaking his mind has been watched continuously by this out of control, rogue, fascist government of ours. Any comments out there?
We’ve been talking about this news, because you are going to learn something over the next few hours and days that’s very important to you. And especially those of you who are on the left side of the aisle. If there is no report of this spying on this, basically how shall I say, basically an innocent private citizen because that’s who I am. You may not like my message, but I am entitled to the First Amendment to express myself, which I do quite forcefully I’ll admit. How do you feel about the government having been spying on Michael Savage? You say, ‘Good, good. I don’t like your politics.’ Well, that means you’re now a fascist. You’re a Nazi. You’re no different than Hitler or Stalin. That’s who you are, you liberals. If you’re celebrating this and you don’t understand what this means regarding this nation’s foundations, which have now been shaken, then you have to look in the mirror and say, ‘Wait a minute. Maybe I have it all wrong. Maybe I really am a bad person for hating a people so much that I would see police state tactics being used against them and look the other way.’ I will wager a bet right now that there is no coverage of this in the so-called liberal San Francisco newspapers. I will bet there is no coverage or reference to my name, Michael Savage, in the New York Times or the Washington Post or the U.S.A. Away. But it’s a fact that this a huge story. And what I’m going to have to do is this: I’m going to have to get the biggest First Amendment attorney in the United States of America. There are two of them that I can think of. Dan Horowitz probably knows one of them for sure, because his cousin is one of them. I’m going to hire him to investigate the NSA. Not for my sake, because I am putting myself in very grave danger by doing it let me be very clear. I’m doing it for your sake, the audience. ‘Oh, you’re just grandstanding, trying to sell a book!’ No. I’m trying to save a nation. I don’t know how this happened to me. It’s too much at once; I hope I’m strong enough for it to be frank with you. How much can one man take? You know, it’s funny. I asked in the first hour: How much can Donald Trump take? When you see hateful ‘Shifty Shift’ and ‘Muddy’ Maxine Waters accusing him of crimes that we don’t even know were committed and calling for his impeachment, rushing to judgement like this. All in a single breath. You say, ‘How much can Donald Trump take?’ Well, I have to ask that question of myself: How much can I take? How much can I take is the question. I don’t know really know. I don’t know the answer to the question. I don’t think we know until we’re tested. So for some reason I am being tested. And either I’ll come out stronger or I’ll come out weaker. Either it will destroy me or it will make me much stronger than I am. I don’t know the answer to the question.
I’m kind of numb right now as I am to all traumas. I never feel a trauma when it occurs. Whether it be a pushing match, I don’t feel it. Then, two days later I look in the mirror and see bruises on my body including a mark of hand on my right arm that I didn’t even know was there. I don’t feel things in the midst of battle. I feel nothing. I go numb. I go into another state. So I cannot tell you how I feel right now, because I feel nothing. To be frank with you, I’m in another state of mind. I don’t know how this is going to affect me. But looking back now, they’ve been watching me since 2010 (2004)? Old Georgie Bush? Mr. ‘Preppy’ Bush had his NSA unleashed on Michael Savage? Where are the liberals now that I need them? ‘When they came for the Jews, I did not raise my voice because I was not a Jew. When they came for the Trade Unionists, I did not raise my voice because I was not Trade Unionist. When they came for the Gypsies, I did not raise my voice because I was not a Gypsy. And when they came for me, there was no one left to speak out’. Cardinal Niemöller who was then thrown into a concentration camp by Adolf Hitler’s fascist thugs.
When they came for Michael Savage, you celebrated? That tells you more about yourself than it does about me. That tells you more about the newspapers than it does about me. That tells you more about the government than it does me.
