The Savage Fight against Censorship

Although the news story in blaring headlines was that Michael Savage, talk show host, was banned in Britain, the subtext is really,

“Michael Savage, nationalist and patriot, banned from the globalist system.”

In this book, I lay out my struggle for free speech in Britain, and even here in the United States.  I have the right to speak freely according both to US law and even British law, without being libeled and censored.  I explain how I have been attacked because I have attempted to define America—and, for that matter, all nations—by their borders, language, and culture.

Those three concepts of borders and language and culture are anathema to the architects of the new globalist system. They believe there should be no borders, no single language, and certainly no culture. There should only be a world without borders, a polyglot of languages, and a culture built upon no culture. In the place of culture, they want consumerism.  In place of government of the people, by the people, and for the people, they want government of the bureaucrats, by the bureaucrats, and for the bureaucrats.

KBR [the engineering and construction subsidiary of Halliburton] was granted a government contract a few years ago to build facilities to house illegal immigrants. Now with illegal immigration becoming less of a problem with the U.S. economy in the toilet, these facilities can now be used for other purposes.

The editorial concluded, “With the economy in the toilet, and more and more people not trusting either political party or the corporate media, the ‘powers that be’ realize that they need to continue building their martial law apparatus. These Army National Guard job listings are just another piece to that puzzle, proving what we already know is being built.”

            This may seem fantastic, but it is getting more credible every day.  Two years ago, did anyone expect the government to grab up the banks, or insurance companies, or the automotive companies?  As we will see in this book, the centralization of power and the corruption of government is growing at an amazing speed. It is impossible to preserve free speech or any other freedom without watching out for the growth of unrestrained government power.

Chapter 1

Savage Strikes Back

I have led a rather elusive and reclusive life. But after being put on a list with murderers, racists, and terrorists—as a direct result of Jacqui Smith’s unilateral verdict that she pronounced on me without ever giving me a day in court—I had to get 24-hour-security.

I mention this because many—friends, enemies, and neutrals—sometimes assume that I’m enjoying the publicity. People hear me on The Savage Nation getting heated in my own defense (which I think is more than understandable) and get the bizarre idea that I am happy to be talking about this crisis in my life.  That is simply wrong.  Just because I’m standing up for myself doesn’t mean that I’m enjoying this right now. I take no joy in this attack and I do not revel at having to defend myself. Don’t confuse a man who is defending his honor with a man who wants to defend his honor. Don’t assume a man who is standing up for himself is not a man who would rather be left alone.

I spent 20 years as an expert on nutrition, herbal medicine and alternative health. I earned two Masters’ degrees from the University of Hawaii, one in ethnobotany, and another in anthropology.  And I earned my Ph. D in nutritional ethnomedicine from the University of Berkley in 1978.  I was also a pioneer in that field. Before that I saved many plants from annihilation in rainforests. I was ahead of my time in that regard. I’ve done very good things for the earth and for the people of the earth.

All of this was a complete shock and surprise.  Who knew that this guy from the Bronx would wind up being hated by an entire government?  Who would think it?  You get on the radio and you speak for fifteen years, and you say things that people both love and hate.  But whoever thought that the British government would come out and ban me from Britain?  I never thought it would happen.   I thought maybe I’d be banned from Syria. I thought maybe I’d be banned from Iran, maybe Venezuela. And I thought I’d probably be banned from North Korea. But I never imagined I’d be banned from the land of the Magna Carta.  Never in a million years.

I never heard anything from the Prime Minister—which was not a complete surprise.  We did finally get a reply from the Home Office on August 5.  They acted as self-righteous as ever.  They repeated the unspeakable lie that I have called for “the murder of Muslims, and claimed that I was guilty until proven innocent, saying, “the onus is on your client to publicly renounce the statements which formed the basis of the decision to exclude him.”

They were not backing down from their license to libel.

But I am not just waiting.  I continue to bear the heavy expense of a legal representation both in the United States and in Britain.  I continue to work to get full disclosure of any relevant information about how the decision was made, using the Freedom of Information Act in the U.S. and similar Freedom of Information legislation in England.  I have no plans to quit this struggle.  I will continue to fight the good fight until I get my name off that list, get an apology, and get compensation for all the damages and expenses that I have incurred.
